30th anniversary party
We invited more than 500 guests to the 30th anniversary of our carpet gallery—including well-known politicians and businesspeople—to celebrate with us at the Landhaushof in Graz on Friday, 13 October 2017. This was an occasion to not only look back at the past years, but also to look forward into the future.
Shortly before performing at the Graz Opera, soloist Tetiana Miyus opened our anniversary celebration with a brilliant performance. In addition to numerous thank you speeches from politicians, friends, and customers, university professor Thomas Druyen also gave a short lecture on the topic of “Looking Back from the Future”. A wealth researcher and future psychologist, Druyen spoke about demographic change and briefly described his research into wealth.
Another highlight of the evening was the premiere of our film GEBA—The Path to the Carpet, which showed exciting aspects of Harald Geba’s life and work. Persian artist Setareh Shafii Tabatabai composed the film music for the movie, and performed it live together with her ensemble for the anniversary event.
Director of the Chamber of Commerce Karl-Heinz Dernoscheg presented Harald Geba with an award for his outstanding entrepreneurial achievements and thanked him for his commitment to Styria as a business location.
Our guests included the mayor of Graz, Siegfried Nagl; president of the Styrian Parliament, Bettina Vollath; former governor of Styria Franz Voves; state parliament member Sandra Holasek to deliver congratulations on behalf of Governor Hermann Schützenhöfer; Manfred Herzl from the Stiefelkönig clan; CEO of Hypo Steiermark Bernhard Türk; and many, many more.
